Avoid Spam Triggers

  • ❌ ALL CAPS SUBJECT LINES
  • ❌ Excessive exclamation marks!!!
  • ❌ Trigger words: “FREE”, “ACT NOW”, “LIMITED TIME” (use sparingly)
  • ❌ Too many links (limit to 5-8 for new domains)
  • ❌ Large attachments
  • ❌ Suspicious URLs

Optimize for Engagement

  • ✅ Clear value proposition
  • ✅ Personalization tokens (First Name, Last Visit, etc.)
  • ✅ Relevant images (avoid stock photos)
  • ✅ Mobile-first design
  • ✅ Single primary goal per email

❌ Mistake 1: Using Wrong Sending Address

Problem: Sending from info@yourClinic.com instead of subdomain

Result: Instant spam folder, domain reputation damage

Solution: Always use yourname@yourclinic.medicalspalink.com

❌ Mistake 2: Sending Too Fast

Problem: Blasting 5,000 emails at once with new domain

Result: Blacklisting, permanent reputation damage

Solution: Use batch sending (30-50 per day initially)

❌ Mistake 3: Skipping Warmup

Problem: Launching campaign day 1 after subdomain setup

Result: 70%+ emails in spam, wasted campaign

Solution: Wait 2-3 weeks of warmup before major sends

❌ Mistake 4: Ignoring Metrics

Problem: Not checking delivery/spam rates after launch

Result: Continued sending to damaged reputation

Solution: Monitor first 24 hours closely, pause if issues

Problem: Forgetting legally required unsubscribe

Result: FTC fines, legal complaints, spam reports

Solution: Our system auto-adds (verify in preview)

❌ Mistake 6: Buying Email Lists

Problem: Using purchased/scraped contact lists

Result: Sky-high spam rates, instant blacklisting

Solution: Only email opt-in contacts from your business

❌ Mistake 7: Poor Subject Lines

Problem: “ALL CAPS!!!” or “FREE FREE FREE!!!”

Result: Spam filters triggered, low open rates

Solution: Natural, conversational subject lines with value clarity

Problem: Including 15+ links in email (especially new domains)

Result: Flagged as spam, promotional tab placement

Solution: Limit to 5-8 links, focus on 1-3 primary CTAs

❌ Mistake 9: No Mobile Testing

Problem: Email looks great on desktop, broken on mobile

Result: 60%+ recipients can’t read your email properly

Solution: Always preview mobile version before sending

❌ Mistake 10: Sending to Inactive Lists

Problem: Emailing contacts who haven’t engaged in 12+ months

Result: High bounce rates, low engagement, reputation damage

Solution: Clean list quarterly, re-engagement sequence first
