How To Modify The Chat Widget

Updating your chat widget is simple and can be completed within your software account:

  1. Open Sites >> Chat Widget, & select your widget
  2. From here, you can make any desired updates to the design & messaging of your widget.
  3. We recommend changing the default avatar to a friendly face from your clinic!

How To Contact Webchat Leads

Here’s what happens when someone engages with the chat widget on your website:

  1. They will be asked for their name, phone number, and a message.
  2. New message submissions will be added to your sales pipeline’s “❄️ COLD Leads (AI Engaged)” column. The AI Concierge will start following up through text.
  3. The AI Concierge will “warm up” the leads to turn them into hot leads. You’ll receive a notification when someone becomes a hot lead.

0:00 Hey, this is Jordan here, and this video I'm gonna be walking through how you can make updates to your chat widget. 0:06 So the first thing you're gonna do is go to sites, and then you're gonna navigate to chat widget, and then you'll be able to open the chat widget, to open up the editor. 0:14 So you click this. And once you're in here, you're gonna have three areas where you can edit the widget. So you have the widget, the chat window, and the messaging. 0:24 So the widget is what people are gonna see right when they log into your site. So here we go. There's going to be a text bubble here and then there'll be a message when somebody comes in fresh and this is where you update how that is styled and the messaging that you have. 0:43 So if you open up here you can see different versions of the chat prompt. You can also update the icon, update the color theme, update the colors if you'd like to and then you can change the welcome message. 0:55 And if you go down here, you can also update the avatar. So we definitely recommend changing this to someone from your clinic or a staff picture. 1:05 It makes it a lot more friendly and feel a little bit less impersonal. And you can update the widget position and sizing here. 1:15 Next we have the chat window. So this is what people are gonna see when they click the chat widget. So here you can update the messaging at the top and right here and you can also update the contact form options. 1:30 So what we've seen is the best conversion rates generally happen when you just have the name, phone number and message rather than including the email or address and other information. 1:44 The less information, the better because it reduces friction and phone numbers generally the best way to Get in touch with people you get the best response rate from that. 1:52 So we recommend keeping like this But you're free to add email if you'd like to and then down here you have additional options and we recommend keeping this the same You don't really need to update these and then finally have the messaging. 2:06 So first one is the acknowledgement and this is how you update These messages here fairly straightforward, and then you can also update the placeholder color and icons don't only need to change these, and that is pretty much it. 2:22 So fairly straightforward.
